Course Reflection

This year in English 11 has been a good year. As a writer I have grown. I learned my strengths and weakness. I have decided my favorite essay and which do I prefer wikis or paper portfolios. I have written many papers and over all enjoyed them all.
I am a better writer today than I was when I first started class this year. I have learned how to use words like there, their, it, there’s, it’s and its. I learned how to write a persuasive research essay and persuasive essays in general. My spelling has improved a lot I can now spell better. This year we got to read a lot of good books about the American dream. Although, I disagree with the authors about there views. I also learned a lot about writing procedures and errors.
Some of my strengths in this class were the reading. The reading was what I understand the best and felt confident in. my biggest weakness was the spelling tests. I am very bad at spelling although this year I greatly approved. I feel strong in the writing and technical sides of the class.
My favorite essay was the one about the American dream it was my favorite because I got to give my point of view and believe I put the most of me in it. I believe that if you do not have something t look forward to or to dream of, then life is boring and pointless. Like in Mice of Men Lennie and George got through life by dreaming of a perfect future. My second favorite essay is my research essay because it was in a felid I am interested in.
If I had to choose between a wiki or a paper portfolio, I would choose a wiki. Wikis are better because it is all digital. Copies are easy to attain and easier for people to reach. Wikis are better than hard copies of portfolios because everything else is going digital also. Now you can get your music, games, books, and even order things through my computer, so why not but my papers there. I already type my papers so why waste paper when u can keep it digital.
It has been a long year and has gone by fast. I enjoyed most of it from learning about the American dream to the sick twisted ending in Of Mice and Men.
